Canada’s Joshua Kutryk Makes His First Spacewalk
Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk stepped outside the International Space Station on Thursday for his first spacewalk, working with NASA astronaut Anil Menon to install new roll-out solar arrays with help from Canada’s Canadarm2. It is the first spacewalk by a Canadian since David Saint-Jacques in 2019. After a second spacewalk planned for Nov. 5, the new arrays will raise the station’s power capacity from 160 to 215 kilowatts, CBC reported.
