Russia Says 613 Drones Flew at Moscow Overnight

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 613 Ukrainian drones flew toward the Moscow region overnight into Thursday, and that 231 were destroyed on the approach to the capital, with most others downed farther out. Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed 1,214 drones were destroyed across Russia. Flights were restricted at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports. No casualties were reported. The attack came as Moscow hosted a Russia-Africa summit. The Russian figures have not been independently verified, and Kyiv has not commented.
